The Mountain Travel and Rescue program provides students with the knowledge and skills to travel in comfort and safety in an outdoor environment, assist in search and rescue efforts, either as a team member or as a leader, and plan and conduct a successful multi-day trip into a winter environment. Both the Basic and Advanced courses are taught in a classroom environment with outdoor applications and exercises. Offers hands-on experience in route finding, emergency bivouac, and problems that arise in search and rescue situations.
