Mountain Travel & Rescue Level 1 Sign-up

MTR I Classroom/Field Session

Course Date: 6pm March 28th until 4pm March 30th.

Location:  We will be primitive camping with improvised shelters. The area is on the west end of Pleasant Hill Lake. We will be hiking into camp.

Cost is $20.
Freedom of the Hills Mountaineering book will need to be purchased before this class.

MTR I  course offers hands-on practice and basic techniques in wilderness navigation, mountain travel, and survival, including emergency shelters, the Incident Command System, group dynamics, and SAR.  Must sleep in a tent during the field session. This course qualifies as a senior elective

This is a Senior Elective. Enroll on NSP.org

Student Fee $20  (NON-MEMBERS WELCOME)
